About the Role
MY Construction, a reputable civil contractor in Pakistan, is seeking the services of a Project Coordinator to assist in current and future construction projects in Lahore. This would be the best place to be because graduates or final year students pursuing Civil Engineering or Construction Management will get to have first hand experience in project coordination in the real world.
You will be a Project Coordinator and will help the Project Manager plan, execute, and complete construction projects- make sure that everything is delivered on time, on budget and to the quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare elaborate project schedules, timelines and milestones with the Project Manager.
- Arrange with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to make their deliverables meet project plans.
- Monitor project progress, point out delay or bottlenecks and suggest corrective actions.
- Manpower, equipment and material support resource allocation.
Coordination & Documentation
- Keep material in site inventory in proper store, usage and tracking.
- Prepare and keep project records such as contracts, RFIs, submittals, permits and change orders.
- Ensure that there is a channel of communication between the internal teams and the site personnel to reduce delays.
- Have version control and file organization of all project records.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide the interface between the engineering, design and procurement departments.
- Conduct project meetings, documentation, and communicate progress to the management.
- Create project timelines, cost, and performance dashboards and reports.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Favor the use of QA/QC standards during inspection and testing.
- Impose safety measures, all the workers are subjected to HSE regulations.
- Report compliance or safety breaches.
Risk & Issue Management
- Determine and record project risks and issues log.
- Suggest remedies to prevent rework, delays and budget overruns.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Degree (or studying) in Civil Engineering / Construction Management.
- Effective communication and coordination.
- Skilled in MS Office; familiar with Primavera / MS Project desirable.
- Simple knowledge of QA/QC and procurement.
- Critical and able to work under stress.
